CORONAVIRUS CONTINUES ITS TOLL ON LOCAL EVENTS
The Greater Port Clinton Area Arts Council has partnered with Bay View, OH sculptor Jeff Jackson in creating a 23 foot fisherman sculpture on the old bridge/fishing pier. In order to achieve this goal, a GoFundMe page has been set up online to help with the creation of the sculpture. Donations are actively being accepted at: Jeff Jackson's Page on GoFundMe.com. So far over $3,000 has been raised for the project. Please help us continue to bring art and beauty to Ottawa County.

All Writer's Circle events have been cancelled for the year.
FYi, this circle is for writers and those interested are welcomed to join the Writers' Circle for readings and other offerings. Suggestions: Essays, Poetry, Fantasy, Short Stories or other pieces welcomed.
Thanks to all who have supported our fundraising efforts this year. Palettes and Prohibition a Night at the Speakeasy was a wonderful online auction. Nearly $7,000 was made. We couldn't have done this without you.

Face-to-face meetings for GPCAAC Special Events are on hold at the present time. However we continue to meet via Zoom and through email. We are planning events and strategies for 2020 and 2021.

BOARD MEETINGS
Keith Fleming, Healing Wall Gallery chair has announced that James Proffit's show is coming down. Congratulations to James as he sold a piece to a hospital employee. A new show featuring Josh Zetzer's artwork is being installed. This show will run until September. Sophia Marsico will be the artist for September. Port Clinton Artists' Club member work will be featured for October and November.
The hospital is beginning to ease restrictions on visitors. Everyone needs to be escorted through the building at the moment.
