People/Figure Drawing 101 to begin March 22 at TAG

Beginning Tuesday March 22 at 6:30pm, resident artist Kay Young will lead a people/figure drawing class at The Arts Garage in Port Clinton.

Using (clothed) volunteer models, the curious, budding artists, and even long-time lovers of people drawing can practice for $5 per session.

"If you've never done it, just show up and try it out," Young said of the new program. "See what comes out."

The idea came to her after working with "The Group" of plein air painters over the winter when they would paint still-life's at TAG.

The model will do two or three poses, with breaks, she said. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own refreshments, as well as an easel and supplies.

Less of a class and more of an opportunity to practice, there will be a limited amount of space for about 20 people.

If you are interested in participating, please email ottawacountyarts@gmail.com by Tuesday morning before the course that day.

The Arts Garage is located in the old city garage at 317 W. Perry Street Port Clinton, OH 43452.
