The Greater Port Clinton Area Arts Council (GPCAAC) is looking for your support for 2018-2019. What started with a grant from the Ohio Art’s Council capacity building program, GPCAAC has blossomed into an organization which serves and inspires artists and patrons, both big and small! Our purpose remains the same: to encourage and support the arts in the communities of Ottawa County. 

 

Through our strong network of volunteers, donors and partners we have been able to turn our passion into results! We have displayed 4 public art installations and purchased a piece of public art, “Captain and the Kid” a bronze sculpture by local artist Andy Sacksteder. We have also partnered with the City of Port Clinton to revitalize the mural in Friendship Park and are now on our 2nd series of artists. We have sponsored concerts in the park, children’s creative writing, illustrating and creating classes, “Evening Out with ART” a gathering to learn about the amazing talent we have in our community, the ARTWalk, scholarships to students in Ottawa County going into any of the arts and so much more. All the listed events are absolutely FREE. 

 

Please join us and become a sponsor for our 2019 Boats, Brushes & Beer (BBB) fundraising event August 10, 2019 at SkipperBud’s, 6801 E Harbor Rd, Lakeside Marblehead. We will feature 50+ artist from the area, as well as hors d’oeuvres from local restaurants. The GPCAAC will have four nautical themed pieces of art available through a silent auction. Patrons who purchase a $100 ticket will be eligible to receive 1 of the 50 original panels created by a local artist. As a 501C3 organization, your tax-deductible contribution strengthens the GPCAAC and our county! Not only are the creative arts essential to the human creative spirit, the arts and cultural resources can be of great economic benefit!
