Jeanne Morgan
I got back into creating Art five years ago during my retirement. My second major in college was art, but it became more of a hobby than a career. After raising children and retiring from my career as a parish pastor, I moved to Port Clinton in 2016. I then joined the Port Clinton Artists’ Club in 2017 and began to take advantage of a few workshops in various mediums offered through the club. I really took to acrylic painting after joining Acrylic University online in 2019. (acrylicuniversity.com) I have enjoyed working with the rich colors of acrylics. My compositions have been mainly florals, landscapes, flamingos, buildings and lighthouses.
I have participated in exhibits at the Sutton Center, Magruder Hospital, Arts in the Park, The Arts Garage (all in Port Clinton), and several other local arts and craft fairs. I received an honorable mention for my booth display at Arts in the Park in 2023. I participated in the Lakeside Art Show for the first time in 2023 and won an Honorable Mention for my piece “Sunset at the Cliffs”. I received an Award of Merit in 2025 for my painting “Catawba Island State Park Visitors”. I have recently opened a studio at The Arts Garage in Port Clinton. (317 W. Perry St. PC OH 43452)
