What's Going on at TAG this Week!

Welcome April!

The weather is warming up, the wildlife is waking up and returning and things at the Greater Port Clinton Area’s Arts Garage are busier than ever! We've got plenty of things going on at TAG to keep you busy during this season of new beginnings!

Tonight (Monday April 3) is Pastels Class with instructor Alice Holly, which is open to artists of all ages and skills. Join us at 6pm at TAG to learn with Alice, this class is a fun one.

Class is just $20 for adults and FREE for Ottawa County students.

Interested in getting your hands into some clay? We still have a few spaces available on Wednesday April 5 at 4:30pm for Slab pottery with our talented resident potters: Jeanette Oleksa, Valerie Crow, and Maggie Beckford.

Class is $40 per person and tickets can be purchased on our website.

Want to try your hand at something completely different? Figure Drawing sessions with a live model take place every Thursday morning at 10am until noon. TAG artist Keith Fleming leads these open sessions, with a new model every week.

Sessions are just $5 per person and the experience is unforgettable!

Looking to create something with one-of-a-kind art? Beach Glass Art Class with Debbie Prue will take place on Saturday April 8 at 11am. This class theme is birds, which you will make with Lake Erie beach glass and pottery.

Class is $35 per person, sign up to reserve your spot today!

As always, to purchase tickets for these classes visit our website at www.gpcaac.org and visit the “Classes” tab. (No sign up is needed for Figure Drawing)

NEXT WEEK: Don’t forget to join us on Monday April 10 at 6pm for the GPCAAC monthly “Evening Out with Art” series at TAG.

This month will focus on upcycling things into something new with speaker Maryann Kelmer. This talk is FREE and we hope you come away with some ideas on how to upcycle objects to help keep things out of our landfills.

The Arts Garage, home of the Greater Port Clinton Area Arts Council, is located in the city’s old maintenance garage at 317 W. Perry Street in Port Clinton.
