The Greater Port Clinton Area Arts Council is kicking off its free children's classes at The Arts Garage in early April, beginning with a pastels class for grade school students.
Instructor Alice Holly will lead a class on pastels for 10 grade school students on Saturday April 2, 2022 from 10am-12pm at The Arts Garage, located at 317 W. Perry Street in Port Clinton.
Straddling the line between painting and drawing, pastels are a medium of pure pigment, giving them an intensely luminous color and rich velvety texture. All supplies will be provided by Ms. Holly and the GPCAAC.
The class is limited to 10 students and is free to all Ottawa County school children.
To sign up, please email the students name and school email address and what class they would like to attend to ottawacountyarts@gmail.com.
More pastel classes for middle school and high school students will be announced soon, as well as drawing and watercolor classes.
The GPCAArts Council is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization founded in 2009 to provide the communities of Ottawa County support in fostering a cooperative effort between artists and the public to promote the creative arts in our region.
