Sabine Bellgardt’s works on display at Healing Wall

Updated: May 24, 2023

The Greater Port Clinton Area Arts Council reminds everyone to check out the works of Sabine Bellgardt on display this May and June at the Healing Wall at Magruder Hospital.

The Healing Wall is a rotating exhibit of artists from around the Ottawa County area and began nearly 10 years ago as a collaboration between the Greater Port Clinton Area Arts Council and the hospital.

The idea is the Healing Wall, which is located in the outpatient wing hallway, can give a few moments of peace through the stress of a hospital visit.

Magruder Hospital is located at 615 Fulton St. Port Clinton, OH 43452.

Born in Germany into a family of artists, Sabine Bellgardt developed her love for the arts at an early age. Her father and grandmother nurtured her creative being through weekly trips to museums, international travel and creative play.

Sabine’s current creative works bring organic shapes to life. Through surprising color combinations and movement through her techniques, Sabine’s goal is to infuse different elements and form abstracted compositions that will let the viewer’s eye play.

Sabine studied Glass and Print Making at the Cleveland Institute of Art. She has won awards for her photography, inspired by nature, textures and patterns.

Sabine currently resides in Westlake, Ohio.
